We’ve grown from strength to strength in giving back to the local community, supporting educational programmes and reducing our carbon footprint.
We believe that being socially and environmentally responsible is not only good for our people and planet, but is also essential to our long-term sustainability as a business.
Our vision is to be the most trusted and respected IT provider, and since our inception in 2002 we’ve grown from strength to strength in giving back to the local community, supporting educational programmes and reducing our carbon footprint.
Here’s how we deliver our corporate responsibility: –
Our Commitment to Employees
At Capital Support we believe in investing in our workplace by giving employees the tools they need to enable them to do the best job they can. In order to increase productivity and provide career development and progression, we provide employees with training so they can enhance their skills and careers with us.
As part of our Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy, we are committed to providing equal opportunities to everyone. We employ staff from diverse backgrounds with varying qualifications and experience without prejudice on gender, race, sexual orientation, religion/belief or disability.
Our Commitment to Charities and Communities
Each year we fundraise throughout the office to raise money for our chosen charities.
In the last 12 months we’ve raised and donated over £5,000, helping to support the following charities: –
- David Kennedy Memorial Fund
This year we’ve also sponsored the Byron Red Star Under 7 Hawks in the London Borough of Havering. The Byron Red Star Under 7 Hawks are a local self-funded football club and are due to enter the Echo Under 7 Premier League for 2014-15, which is one of the strongest leagues in the South East. Capital Support has committed to sponsoring the football team for two seasons.
Our Commitment to the Environment
We’re working to reduce our environmental impact, and as part of this we’ve taken steps to reduce the amount of waste we produce each year. All our waste is recycled where possible, and we’ve introduced green policies throughout the company. We host our IT infrastructure within efficient Tier III data centres off-site to reduce our overall carbon footprint.
Our Commitment to Education
As a leading IT provider we offer a range of work experience placements for secondary school pupils, college leavers and graduates across a range of departments including marketing, sales, administration, operations, finance and technical. We also support Pestalozzi, an educational organisation providing work experience opportunities to highly talented students from across the globe who wouldn’t necessarily be given work opportunities.
