The Financial Industry is bowled over at Throgmorton 20:20 Charity Cricket Day
The Throgmorton 20:20 Charity Cricket event, Thursday 2nd June proved to be resounding success for all who attended. The event was held in Chelsea at the impressive Burtons Court, part of The Royal Hospital Grounds.
Throgmorton along with sponsors, Capital Support, Citi Bank, Howden Partners and Field Fisher Waterhouse played an intense four matches throughout the day. The team captains consisted of former England players Gladstone Small, Devon Malcolm, Peter Such and John Emburey with the final game between Such and Malcom’s teams. In the end it was Such’s team, which included the Capital Support players, who were victorious winning by nine wickets.
The event was held in aid of Cricket for Change and Prostate Cancer charities. Thanks to the generosity of over one hundred and fifty people who attended, the raffle managed to raise a considerable one thousand five hundred pounds which was split equally between both charities.
